Regarding privacy protection

  • At the consultation desk, a dedicated counselor carefully accepts consultations and reports while giving due consideration to the privacy of the counselor and whistleblower.
  • The content of the consultation / report will not be transmitted to others without the permission of the consultation / reporter.
  • We will protect your privacy. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
  • We will respect the will of the counselor / whistleblower, including how to resolve and proceed, and respond carefully.

Eligibility

  • Waseda University and College of Higher Education / Honjo Senior High School, Art school students, students, faculty members and their families, etc. Those who have a continuous relationship in the education and research of the University and are recognized as members (including graduates (including withdrawals, etc.), retirees, temporary staff working at the University, etc.), Traders with Waseda University, etc.

Acceptable topics for a consultation / report

  • Consultations for problems with your classes or student life
  • Consultations regarding research wrongdoing
  • Consultation on harassment
  • Sexual harassment due to sexual behavior, academic harassment due to behavior related to study, education, and research, power harassment due to behavior based on superior bargaining position or job status, etc.
  • Consultation on public interest reporting
  • Regarding the faculty and staff (excluding students and students) or departments of the University, the facts to be reported as stipulated in Article 2, Paragraph 3 of the Whistleblower Protection Act, the laws and regulations related to the education and research activities or management of the University, and the rules of the University (related to the obligation to make efforts).A fact that violates (except for provisions) has occurred or is about to occur.However, reports for the purpose of gaining fraudulent profits, damaging others, and other fraudulent purposes are excluded.

About the consultation / reporting process

  • STEP.1The consultation can be done through a external contact (NEC VALWAY) ※We do not make judgments or advice.
  • STEP.2We report on the contents of statements and consultation contents to University (The Office of Compliance)  from a external contact within 2 business days of reception. You can choose whether if you would like to use your real name or to be anonymous.
